Driving back home from Rockford!

Last trip post! Pass Christian, Mississippi

The last day of our trip was spent with the Giffins and Vanneys in Pass Christian, MS. We celebrated the completion of the pier on the family property. We had so much fun fishing, watching the sunset and playing with cousins! A great end to a great trip!!!

We recently took Graham to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts Museum, here in Nashville. They have a children's art area and Graham LOVED IT! He did his first art by sketching and screen printing. Then we went to this glass wall where you could get a marker and write on the glass wall. Our friend, Jennifer, captured us playing with him. Here is the video.

Nashville recently opened a new park downtown and it has a lot of cool stuff. We decided to check out the water part today and Graham loved it.

Next 2 days in New Orleans! Laissez Le Bon Temps Roulet

After the wonderful few days in Mississippi and Baton Rouge we headed for New Orleans for 2 nights. It was fantastic seeing this city through Peter and Julie's eyes. Noticing the architecture, heat, people, food and all the life in a way I never have before. Not to mention our first time with babies. An entirely new experience! It was wonderful!

We went to the Mardi Gras museum and these were the bathroom doors. So FUN!!

Each night we hung out at the pool at our hotel off Burgundy. We had rooms right on the pool and pretty much all to ourselves! So fun!!

We ended the New Orleans trip in style with brunch at Two Sisters! Graham loved the birds flying down to our table and he loved the band and went and danced for us all.

4th stop, Baton Rouge and Shelley!!!

After touring Natchez, we drove down to Baton Rouge for some R&R with Shelley. We had yummy crawfish and Boudin sausage. We then woke up the next morning and went downtown to educate ourselves a little about Louisiana's capital. Good times, thanks Shelley!!!

3rd stop! Vicksburg, Clinton & Natchez, MS

On our third day we traveld farther south down HWY 61 and did a lot in a little time! This was our busiest day. Jon and I wanted everyone to see it all and that just asn't possile. So, we did what we could and still had a blast. We took our crew to Vicksburg where we showed them the Cairo,The Corners (where we got married) the Mississippi River and at some yummy food at Walnut Hills with Tom and Emily. After this crazy day, we went to Clinton for some rest and yummy breakfast! But, before we traveld to Baton Rouge, we drove down the Natchez trace and we stopped off in Natchez. Beautiful homes and great times! Love you Mississippi!! Now on to the Bayou state!!

As you can see Graham loves the Mississippi River! LOL!
